What it is.
i.A book that doesn't open onto a page. The spine is hinged, the boards are wrapped in cloth — Iris, Wibalin, or Buckram — and a magnetic clasp inside the front cover keeps the case shut. The interior is foam or moulded pulp, shaped to hold the contents.
We use a 2 mm chipboard core for the boards and a flexible cloth-wrapped spine. The wordmark goes on the front, foiled or debossed; the spine carries the colophon, the way a book would. Cradles fit to ±1 mm.
Used for archival kits, anniversary sets, and any project where the box is itself the object — kept on a shelf, opened on occasion. Lead time 28–35 days. Cloth options on file: fourteen colours, three weights.

Sample 10–14 days (cloth lead time is the bottleneck); production 28–35 days from approved sample.
